Most "generational" wealth is gone within 3 generations
i forgot the financial person i heard say this, but he said the money of most very wealthy people is gone within 3 generations.
the first generation that got wealthy knew first hand the sacrifices/hard work/innovation/value of the money they accrued. they usually don't go broke.
the second generation know OF those things and they have some idea, maybe learned a thing or two, but they are likely to spend more because the money and advantages came easier to them.
the third generation knows nothing of those things. privileged and somewhat spoiled by their parents with the idea that money is just something that will always be around. this generation runs through it all and likely ends up broke/on drugs or similar.
