Poland was told they would be defended and backed up, and under no circumstances should they make a peace deal with the Germans. This emboldened Poland in their efforts to persecute ethnic Germans in Poland, and also to conduct attacks on German civilians.


What happened to Poland shortly after is well know to all. The Polish continued their policy of aggression and outright murder of ethnic Germans, and refused to cede back German land to Germany. Poland then proceeded to get their chit pushed in. All because the west wanted to destroy Germany and have their 'reason' to declare war. Never once did they actually care about Poland or its "freedom". They simply manipulated the Poles and used them as bait to get into a war with Germany.


Now what's happening to Ukraine today? LOL
