Has anyone ever vacationed in Maine? Any Maine natives here?

Going for a week July 15-22

Flying into bangor then driving to Bar Harbor to stay 4 days, then 2 days in Portland, back to Bangor for a day and fly home. I booked the flight but haven't booked any hotels/bnb yet

Got banned from Reddit/Maine for asking about BNB locations bc it "destroys the housing market" for redditor losers

Any must see? going with wife and 4 year old daughter

Hopefully they have an airport there so you can quickly go someplace else.

The island Bar Harbor is on is not that bid so see just about everything - the hiking is amazing but some of the more famous hikes are probably too much for a 4yo so make sure to check - Precipice is amazing but I wouldn't take a kid. At low tide you can walk out to the one island in the harbor on a sand bar - your 4yo will likely love that, you can find tons of starfish on the sandbar at that time.

There is an ice cream stand at the very bottom of the hill of the main street in BH - down next to the water - they have a wild blueberry ice cream that is unbelievably good.
