I was talking to the owner of a diner by my place, relatively young brah 34 years old and he’s pretty much set for life. He was telling me how he went to college, followed the traditional corporate path and hated it. He got fired for researching food truck ideas on the clock and decided to start a sandwich truck, became a hit at local markets and within a year opened a brick and mortar. Now he’s well off enough that he only work’s because he loves it.

Granted, he’s a Greek brah whose grandparents owned a diner, so I guess the barrier to entry and knowledge curve were lower, but if I just buy a used food truck, renovate it, order some hamburger from wholesale suppliers and charge $16 for a burger at festivals, that sounds 100000x more fulfilling than rotting at an office.
