On the topic of taking advice regarding women

My understanding of women's actions largely comes from what I read online. I don't have past experiences of being cheated on, getting harshly rejected, or anything of that nature. I'm not a woman hater, but I am someone who finds women who sleep around to be questionable long term prospects.

Recently, I met a woman who checked all the boxes. She was into me and she made it obvious. Problem is, I found out that she had one night stands. I followed my intuition and basically wrote her off as a bad prospect because I figured this was the right thing to do. However, I found out today that she's leaving the city.

For some reason, I have this sinking feeling of regret. She seemed like a nice person; one of those people that shined a bit brighter than others.

Do you think that when it comes to taking advice online like this, you can't really put it into practice if you haven't actually experienced the mistakes that come from not following that advice? It's like my brain is saying one thing but my heart is saying another.
