I really fkin hope it’s Biden. Imagine the landslide victory if Trump gets to run against this guy. It would be like the 1984 electoral map.

But I can’t see it at this point. How would Joe make it through the campaign? Kamala is the most likely replacement because if they try to swap in Newsom, the DNC will be a contested convention, absolute chaos and terrible optics for the party.

I recall that people had suspected this early debate timing would give the Democrats a good opportunity to remove Biden if he performed poorly.
