Oakland residents, already grappling with issues like crime, homelessness, and a struggling economy, now have to contend with the possibility that their elected officials might be in cahoots with the very criminals they're supposed to be fighting.

Mayor Thao, in a defiant press conference, blamed the accusations on "radical right-wing forces" and a "conspiracy" against her. Because, of course, it's always the right-wingers who are responsible for the actions of a left-leaning mayor.

As the investigation unfolds, the people of Oakland are left wondering if their city will ever be able to shake off its reputation as a lawless bedlam of corruption and crime.

As a Bay Area Native, It’s heartbreaking to see that Government Officials are as Shady as the Criminals.

And then blame Republicans as if it is their fault…

Mayor Thao is the worst Mayor in the history of Oakland. She has not only failed Oakland, but the entire Bay Area. California will never forget the chaos and corruption she allowed and enabled. Organizing a sex trafficking ring and drug crime ring as a Mayor is absolutely horrible.
