Does media just suck or am I being overly pessimistic?

Movies, shows, anime, video games, cartoons, comics, popular websites, social media, music..

It feels like everything either sucks or is just alright at best. I find it rare to find something that is genuinely great or touches my “soul” or anything like that. Feels like it was easier to find really amazing media once upon a time a time, but not so much now.

Maybe I’m just older and jaded, or I’m not looking in the right places.

2020's media has been complete garbage for the most part. Sounds like you have standards.
