Anyone else stunned by how little you can trust a medical doctor's word?
Is anyone else completely stunned by some of the retarded chit they've been told by legit medical doctors over the years?
Just one example - I had a physical recently. Had the doc take a quick peak at a busted up big toenail I had that broke off in a really goofy way, the old part still clining on (I left it to try to protect the skin underneath while the new nail grew in more), and old blood stuck underneath. Dude looked at it and said I have toe fungus and to hope for the best.
I went home and cut the rest of the old nail off properly a couple days later. Turned out I was right and that it wasn't toe fungus at all, just old blood that was trapped from the break that probably happened months ago at this point. Like I said, this is just one example. Blows my mind how much absolute horse chit they'll feed you so you'll go away and keep paying them to bullchit you if you don't come prepared with some sort of knowledge of whatever the issue is yourself.

I took a pharmacology class once, here is how medicine works
You're sick? Try this new drug...
Nit helping? Try more of it
Not helping? Try more of it
Oh that helped? Ok Try more of it and see if it helps more
It did? Ok Try more of it and see if it helps more
Oh it stopped working and you had a heart attack?
Ok so now we know the good range and bad range.
How does it work? Bro wtf are you asking that you just saw that it helped that sick guy.
You want to know the literal physiological mechanics of what the medicine is doing? Oh sh*t bro we don't know that. We literally do not care about that. We just say take dose and report how people react. That's It
