Any dental brahs on here? Wife got some bad news at her cleaning...
My wife had her cleaning today. They took x-rays and told her that one of her dental implants caused an infection inside the bone (apparently only 1-2% of people have this happen), and that the bone "isn't where it needs to be" and "dips down around the implant". She's had these two dental implants for 10 years or so (the other is fine apparently). The dentist told her to contact and meet with the surgeon who put in the implants.
What's going to need to happen here? And how expensive should I expect this to be? Our dental insurance only covers $1500 per year...
