How to keep chickens cool and alive in hot weather

Anyone have chickens? I moved to "the country" about 3ish years back, plans to put up raised beds, fruit trees, chickens – I've done work on the gardens, got some trees going – no chicken(s) yet.

Advice, discussion, chicken-talk welcome though. Would love some daily fresh eggs.
