Aparently those batteries are super dangerous I have heard stories of trolling motors with ev batteries burning through boats hull and sinking the boat

Yea basically any damage to a battery can cause it to create chemical reactions that become uncontrollable. But let's just carry it into an elevator. You'll never catch me carrying one of those things.

In sydney here, there's been a bunch of house fires started by those.

That’s why they’re fuse to transport lithium batteries in the cargo space , and some stupid sloot from the democrat admin said planes would be all electric by 2030 .
But they can’t transport them lol . My god sloots are dumb AF ,just clueless

If it went off only a few seconds earlier before the elevator then he would have naturally tossed it when it started and probably had minimal or even no injuries.

Lithium Ion batteries do that. Lithium Iron batteries don't, but they don't hold as large a charge as Lithium Ion.
