I wish I could be like Richard Simmons

Not the gay part or the dead part, but the part where he had the courage to just go N/C on the entire world without warning and live out the rest of his life on his own terms.

I'm certain that's the next phase of the NEET phenomena: men retreating into the forest or mountains and living in log cabins away from society.


Not saying Simmons did that or even needed to do that cause he had money, but guys who don't have money definitely will be relocating to some remote Canadian forest and living out the remainder of their days there.

It is strange that he literally vanished sometime after the mid 90's the last I heard about him was in 2015'ish he was sick and his caregivers were apparently abusing him.

interesting. maybe at some point they realize being connected to this world serves no purpose other than making them more depressed.

I’m talking about in 2014 he was teaching classes and doing media appearances weekly, then out of nowhere he canceled everything and was never seen in public again. There were rumors he got fat or turned into a woman but they all turned out to be false. He just wanted to live isolated from the rest of society and had the means to do it.
