How was Jesus trial at midnight?

Weren't trials held during the day in the Sanhedrin?
24 hour waiting period as well?
Trial in the high priests home?

Can someone explain

its said he was arrested at midnight and they wanted to get over with it ,so the supposed crucifixion happened at the third hour which puts it at 9 am ,... but again no one knows

I think it was due to the time of the year it happened, something to do with them not being able to do anything the next day
