For a while now I've noticed a psychological pattern in people that are the most outspokenly liberal -- a pattern in that I suspect/know many of them to suffer from depression.

A way for them to deal/cope with this is to project that others in the world are the actual problem...much worse than themselves.

For example, I made a comment asking why dems so often make things about race/gender etc and I got the following reply from a cat lady within seconds:

"Dems are obsessed with inclusion, Magats are obsessed with exclusion. Why would anyone of decent character accept the hate from the tRump party of racism, homophobia, misogyny & discrimination? I was raised better than that."

Humans generally need something to believe in. Atheism was always a lie. There’s a reason every single society that has ever existed for any meaningful amount of time has worshipped some sort of deity. Modern libs are too enlightened by their own intelligence for that malarkey, so they worship science, brown people, and gays. True story.

If you look at the real chitlibs, 30 years ago they were outcasts, the forgotten, the ugly weirdos, etc. The internet gave them a place to band together and get organized in their hatred of strength, beauty, success, traditionalism, etc.

The real question is why normal people can’t just tell them to shut the fuk up and go away. Everyone bends over backwards for them. Very bizarre.

No, it's a means to conform

Yeah I noticed that from the beginning of the Trump movement and even before it. Common working class Americans and Christians rallying behind Trump was an insult to their feelings of "superior intellect". And when he won that especially hurt because their superior intellect said he didn't have chance. You can see the same hatred for any candidate over the last 30 years that Christians have supported.

Victim mentality is a big part of it. It's why you see a high proportion of women/minorities embrace left-wing ideals. They don't want to take accountability for their failures and liberal ideas allow them to place blame on "the system", like the patriarchy or systemic racism.

eg "I am poor and no one loves me and I can't get a good job, it's not because I suck it's because I am discriminated against"

Makes people feel better

They're insecure, unhappy people who adopt a group-identity in order to better fit in with other insecure losers. As a group, their goal is to shift blame for their failures & shortcomings, while making themselves feel superior to those who are outside of the group. This helps to temporarily ease some of their insecurities, but does little for their happiness. Because of that, they keep pushing harder & harder. More extreme. And they're going to keep pushing until they're happy. The herd will never be happy though. The hive-mind of leftism isn't designed to ever produce any sort of fulfillment in life.
