I also came back recently after a decade.

Main difference to me is how much slower it is but not really surprising.

Definitely not as lulzy as it used to be.

Back in the day it was really nice. Get Supplement sponsorships easily, felt more like a click since this was before Instagram fitness blew up and now every young person does fitness. A decade ago it felt like it was mostly me, a handful of young people, and like a bunch of retired or semi retired ppl that went because of social time or a doctor telling them. Fitness doesn't feel special anymore that's for sure. And this was at Golds gym btw lol.

I quit for a while, tried to get back into it a handful of times, really strong starts too but stuff happened and I would stop. Starting back up again now.

Really? The real life stories and the memes were the best parts. I completely forgot what my favorite threads were though tbh. I remember refreshing the page and Zyzz would pop up or some other famous dude replying lol.

I think forums as a whole fell out of popularity.

Na, actually the opposite. I would say the past 6 years I minimally lifted and did any type of diet, life got too busy and lifting and dieting got super fking boring. I just started lifting again and hopefully I stick to it this time. Secured some Ozempic as well to help me out. I wish I never stopped with the fitness but some challenges really made it almost not up to me.

I kind of remember your username btw.

Been here since 08 (despite join date) - place has changed but still one of the best remaining forums of it's kind.

Will be a sad day when it dies cause there's not much else like it. Social media/reddit etc don't have the familiar usernames/personalities- it's all too anonymous and similar.

I've definitely gotten a chuckle out of seeing the shenanigans of Gable Toaster being posted again after all this time- some of the OGs who were creating memes of his stupid azz are still here it seems. Even old Chest/brah (aka Parrotbrah) had a thread here a few months ago.

I've never stopped working out in one form or another and look per my profile pic- **** is life and kept me balanced.
