know a guy that goes up north every year ice fishing.Wisconsin i think. he brings back hundreds of smoked smelt i think it is.and he cant even give it all away. im not a smelt fan so i dont take much

Huttrapper inspired me to smoke some fish on here. I have a pellet smoker and it came out pretty nice. I do give a lot of fish away myself.

lol i bet.only smoked fish i like is salmon. King salmon if i can get it. man i KNOW Huttrapper is the real deal. if i had to pick someone to go up north its him. i think smoking is just the best way to quickly preserve tons of fish like that. a necessity if you will. that would be a ton of ice to take all that fish back

Then season, wrap in foil, toss in oven, or on the grill.
