not to the point where the kids are getting beaten or starving…but to the point where they are the stinky kid in school….or acting out….or constantly getting suspended/expelled etc

Read this thread the first two times like it was OP's sibling who was the child getting expelled and smelling at school. I was like "wait, how old is OP?"
