After Jaws, you have the summer camp slasher movies…Friday the 13th, the Burning, Sleepaway Camp etc..

The Great Outdoors (1988)

Adventureland (2009)

Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2007)

Lastly a couple of great Hayley Mills movies filled with summer vibes…Parent Trap (1961) and The Moon-Spinners (1964)

I always wondered if I was the only one who enjoyed camping scenes in "Friday the 13th" franchise.

Now I know I'm not the only one.

I have the DVD of the 1998 remake (I bought it because of its camping and outdoor scenes) and lately I found the 1961 original on Disney + and watched it.

Hayley Mills were lively and cute af as the twin girls.

I love Disney+.

Good taste as always, Mr movie king! *bow*

National lampoon vacation movies. Pretty sure some are over summer

Another one I saw, very mediocre, but fits the theme: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090098/
Best lifts:

I checked the franchise and it's very promising and looks joyful.

Didn't know it until your post.

I knew misc brothers never disappointed me.

Wait a second, OP has never seen the Vacation movies?

Get onto that! But skip the remake IMO because it's pretty cringe, unless you are very anal about completeness.

After reading your post I checked it and I've just ordered the "Moonrise Kingdom" DVD from Amazon at a reasonable price, will be delivered in a few days.

French movie!

The only French movies I watched were those that had Alain Delon.

Just read the plot, it is quite depressing.

Thanks for sharing, wish you a wonderful summer my friend.

FYI, to everyone here, if you want movie recommendations best place to go is reddit/movies (r/movies) and just run searches there.

You'll get more good recommendations than you know what to do with. It's literally a subforum devoted entirely to movies and recommendations.

You don't lift weights but do smear poo so Reddit suits you.

Forgot about these: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108037/

They made a bunch of remakes, but I think that's the original. Not sure I would enjoy them as an adult though, but I really did when I was a kid

The cast is promising.

This is the kind of road movie I've been looking for, that makes me forget the heat of summer and I'm gonna enjoy watching it with a cold beer.

I believe in misc.
