Have any of you ever had your toe nails turn completly

black? like jet black even though you did not smash them or damage them. just woke up one day and they were that color

I had the same toe on each foot turn black.. toe nail never came off though.

anyone ever experienced this?

not randomly, lost both big toes after a marathon. They eventually just fall off, so let em.

Toenails can turn black from nutritional deficiencies, infection, or trauma. This may go away on its own. If not, see your doctor to rule out a more serious cause.

Nearly ripped off a toe nail last week, still hanging on exclusively from the bottom but I don't dare rip it off. Hoping it will turn black and wither away sometimes soon.

How do you walk with both big toes missing?



Toe nail will come out and it will take a year for a new one to fully grow.

Both went black once after I waked about 15 miles in new, ill-fitting shoes. Took 6 months to a year for them to clear, they didn't fall out though.
