it was likely the end because there was no topping that say 95-00 time period. after that ended i was out on wraslin. i do remember liking 90-95 though…hogan, yokozuna, warrior, original sting, macho man, etc, etc.

What I meant was that the attitude era was the zombie-wwf era, it wasn't good.

The Montreal screw job was the death blow. After that it became some long running crappy Jerry Springer episode and eventually became the Cena clown era which is basically what it still is to this day.

well i mean from the perspective of 10-15 yr olds having it be like a crazy springer episode was awesome…kids in that age also talked about springer which you had to watch if you were out sick/summer vacation/holiday

this is quite the take and i disagree with it but also agree with it on some level.

austin, rock, foley, bret, hbk, taker, kane and certain lower card guys like new age outlaws, al snow and rikishi made it pretty epic. plus wcw was hot af.

i agree vince russo and eric bischoff didn't understand wrestling and only cared about the ratings for whatever week they were writing for…but the talent was undeniable.

austin, rock, foley, taker, hhh, bret, sid, kane, hbk, sting, luger, ddp, hall, nash, hollywood, goldberg…that all stacks up against the golden age big names and kinda mogs them.

There was talent there, but it wasn't as great as the talent that came before. Also the Rock character was horrible, dude wouldn't ever shut the fuk up and he's still goin' this fukkin' guy. The entertainment had taken an entirely new course, although, I will concede that at least the company let the boys run with their own personalities for their gimmicks. I also laughed at some of the schit they were trying to sell and I don't mean in a good way, Undertaker becomes 'The American Badass' lmfao, then he goes back to being some underworld mystical character as the Undertaker. The show was all over the place. It was a little Girls Gone Wild, Jerry Springer, shiity comedy sketch show and cringe mixed in. Had its ups and downs, but overall, that chit was the beginning of the brand's decline…of course once Vince basically bought the entire business, he just threw together whatever demented shiit he could get away with and people just bought it mindlessly. Cena era was crap and I saw glimpses of what the entertainment has become as of the modern era and I don't know what the fuk I'm even looking at. It's like the teamsters from the local union, Khal Drogo and the power rangers got together and decided to fight each other in a ring and talk shiit to one another.

I'm always going to think that the Hogan, Warrior, Mr Perfect, Hart Foundation, Million Dollar Man, Jake the Snake, Honky Tonk Man, Earthquake, British Bulldog, Legion of Doom, etc. era was the best. To each their own though.

Personally I think it all has to do with the fact that Vince never really had the makings of a varsity athlete.
