No more health insurance for me.

Self employed for over a decade, been buying my own health insurance (high deductible) for the entire time.

Realized that my healthcare costs are so low, that I've only had ONE year that I actually maxed out the deductible and was able to use the insurance…. Which also wasn't enough coverage to get excited about anyways.

Cancelled it, and am now sitting on an extra $300/MN that isn't going toward a health insurance coverage that I will literally never use.

Imagine buying health insurance, paying for it every month, then (because of the $5k deductible) paying for every doctor visit out of pocket anyways.

Sometimes you gotta shift your brain out of NPC mode and realize you're getting scammed.
Spoiler alert; you die at the end.

Catastrophic health insurance is all you need, which should be cheaper
