Not going to be financially viable for 3-4 more years

And I’m 29. ****ed around too much in my 20s. Built no skills and went to school (briefly) for art. The past year has been good for overcoming my bad habits of laziness, lack of discipline, and risk aversion, but I’m stuck doing assistant manager roles in retail for chump change.

Going to school for accounting now but it’ll be 3-4+ years before I can get a job out of it. Who knows what things will be like then. I’m kicking myself remembering all of self-improvement content I consumed and the good advice I got in my 20s that I basically ignored. Fuk.

Eww bro.

Just ****ing put "degree in accounting" on your resume dude. Dont ACTUALLY waste your time going to school for it.

You can easily learn a four year degree's worth of "accounting" on your own in three months. Lie about the degree and get to work.

Stop being a cuck.

You’ll find a job in 3 to 4 years in accounting just fine. Your school will have a chit load of accounting job fair type things where accounting firms will be there. Those firms will hire any accounting student with a pulse. Just be sure to ask your professors about it. Also when I came out of school there were a few mid 40 types who went into accounting via night school from something else. No one outside of Big 4 firms give a chit if you’re older, smaller firms don’t care. So you’ll work there for 2 years and then work at a mid size company where it’ll be you and a bunch of middle age women.

Strong retard, any entry level accounting job will make you submit transcripts and call your school.

Strong username to reality.

You think there's someone at each university who answers phone calls every time one of thousands of annual graduates gets a new job?

"Hello? Yes, Clarence went here in 2005. Let me look up his GPA for you. Can you hold please?
"Hello? Yes, Doris graduated in 96. Let me find her transcripts. Hold please!"
"Hello? Yes, Arther attended…
"

Just LMAO.

At that point I would join the military. Only 4 years and you can get free training in a bunch of useful civilian skills and the GI Bill/Home loan would be worth it. School isn't a guaranteed job

My brother has an accounting degree, let's just say the prospects are not there. It isn't a good career to be in right now. Go into IT.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
