Anyone have a towel warmer bar/rack?

So we're starting our master shower remodel and thinking about adding a towel warming bar/rack on the outside of the shower wall but these things get iffy reviews. Anyone have one that can shine some light on them for me?

Heated floors and steam showers are better investments.

We put them in as standard on our higher end builds, people buying in the $1.5-2m price range would expect them at the very least in the primary suite

I think at trade prices the ones we use run about $1k a piece excluding sales tax

I’m personally pretty ambivalent to them

We have them in 6 of the bathrooms. They have a minor quality of life factor, but I can take them or leave them.

It's adjustable. You can get it up to that "still warm from the drier" feeling.

For me, it's more about what to do with wet towels. I prefer taking a clean towel off the shelf and using the towel rack to dry the towels out, instead of leaving wet towels lying around.

We have a cleaner, as opposed to a maid, and do the laundry ourselves. Leaving wet towels lying around in hampers etc bugs me.

Tile floor is cold regardless of where you're at. Steam showers aren't about hot or cold, it's a wet sauna, a nice feature to have in an upscale bathroom.

I don't have tile anywhere in my house, nor will I have any in the shower. I know what a steam shower is but I won't be installing one.

Don't tell me you're installing shower or bathtub bases. Always looks bad, always looks cheap.

This is what I'm wanting. Something to dry them and get them warm for use.

I misspoke, I don't have tile on any floor surfaces. The shower will have tile on the walls and rock on the floor. Shower will be 9'x4', not a little shower by any means.

I don’t have towel warming rack but I do have a recommendation that was a game changer for me.

I bought bath SHEETS (40" x 70") from restoration hardware instead of bath towels which are much smaller.

It’s so nice having these huge towels. Not only do I dry off faster, but also because they are so large they never feel noticeably wet.

I use one of those barrel warmers for my towels... they get toasty in about 15 minutes.

Yeah, the bath sheets are the way to go. Been using them for a while.
