Anybody here ever had a period of their life where they wished they weren't alive??

From 21 to 25 I would dread the fact that I was alive - EVERY SINGLE DAY. I was pretty depressed from 13-19, but nothing like that.

The best part of the day for me, was going to sleep so that I could not exist for some period of time - and during my sleep I would have the most fked up nightmares, but they were better than waking life.

These days I love being alive. I think what was holding me back back in those days was that I thought I had to look a certain way, have a certain job, car, house, always be dominant, etc, and then someone would like me, but it was impossible to meet these modern day standards for me.

That's called severe depression and yes I've had it a few times. I'd be lying if I said I didn't…

Sometimes from 14-17 here and there. I was fat, didn't get female attention, socially awkward, used the internet/online-gaming as my primary source of dopamine, etc. Ages 18+ though have been great. Particularly 18-25 I felt like I was ambitious, usually with a lean physique (not always), accomplishing goals, visualizing milestones that I'd knock out. Now at age 29 I'm like "ok what's next lol." I already have the dream job (work from home, gross over $180k this year probably), already have a GF, not really anything to aspire for anymore except to get a better physique and build wealth. In fact the future is kinda gloomy, parents are unhealthy and going to the ER more often than I'd like for example.

So long as I continue to be in good health, I don't think I'll have future periods of wishing I wasn't alive.

For as long as I can remember, prolly early 2000s or so. Just stopped enjoying anything other than the most extreme spur of the moment stuff like drugs and fights (real ones in everyday life not that ghey MMA chit). Feel like a zombie normally, everything's just so boring. Unless there's legit chaos up for grabs absolutely nothing gets my heart racing. Just floating along waiting to die.

Makes me wish I was one of those people who don't need anything more than chit food and porno to feel like pigs rolling in chit.

I had times in my 20s I was depressed. I'm happy now. I think the reason I was depressed was because I was directionless and lacked goals.
