UK brahs - do you think cash will be phased out genuinely?

some think "cash willalwaysbe king" and some say it's going to get phased out and it's all going toward digital. which I think it is, but surely a tangible currency form factor will always prevail?

i just found something i can use as a coin purse while tidying stuff and thinking....is it worth it?

Cash will eventually be phased out. I used to think it was "better" because the exchange was immediate. But if you make cash transactions, its harder to track it.

No, as shown by the recent supermarket crashes where they can only accept cash & the big global blue screen outage a month or so back where most big businesses systems crashed-it isn't going to happen. Just the same as televisions will never stop being made-people don't want to watch big sporting events etc on tiny phone or laptop screens.

People are still watching stuff on VHS & buying the machines on eBay etc. Technology never really dies & cash will never be replaced.

it's kind of mind blowing when you think about the fact that most money is now just numbers on a screen srs. Might as well be Runescape/Warcraft gold

i mean its supposed to be an exchange. you buy something with it

as long as those things exist then it you have another medium to measure value

what good would the #'s be if they didn't buy "things"?
