What it was like being a woman in the middle ages

yeah it sounds real bad. Based off the video if you were a woman you had to:
-be nice
-have someone else foot the bill for you getting married, otherwise you have to work a job!
-if you weren't married by 25, you were sent to live with nuns where you have room and board and food.

For a man you had to:
-Work
-Die

- Sleep around while your woman looked the other way.

For the woman, most had to work from a young age to fund a dowry for the man they would marry.

yeah it was real easy to get laid back in those days; men were just fukin' and collectin' all day long. The women who were having sex with these men didn't have to worry about getting married like 100% of the other women, which definitely makes sense.

but you're right about the dowry. Things are much different (and better) now that instead of collecting a dowry a man just collects all her student loan and credit card debt. Glad we fixed that pesky marriage infidelity problem in the modern era, too.

I think the video makes it super depressing because of the guys voice sounds miserable. The best time to be a woman was actually the 1950s.

Men could just take any unmarried woman they wanted back then because the woman (or girl) would keep it quiet so they wouldn't be looked at as spoiled goods. See a woman collecting berries in the forest? Churning butter in the backyard? Just take her. She won't tell.

As for marrying a girl with a lot of debt? Don't.
