I think I know how to fix the country.

Allow Texas and California to secede from the union.

CA is the epicenter of 90% of the fridge lefty stuff. They'd be happier on their own anyway, and the dem party from the other 49 states is more moderate.

Texas leaving would nearly balance out the change in the electoral college. And we've been trying to leave since the 1800s anyway.

You'd end up with a more moderate electorate in the remaining 48 states. And the hardcore lefties or righties could move to their respective new nations.

Imagine how quickly California would become a broke 3'rd world country without the federal government. The fact that it's still a state is probably the only reason it's still livable for anyone who isn't a complete welfare case.

This is why my plan works.

CA actually thinks the rest of the country is just dragging them down and mooching off them.

Legit srs Texas and California would both be happier in their own. And the other 48 states get better representation and politics.

Texas could secede but California would never leave imo. Too liberal, they like depending on big government

If both states left US would probably be falling apart and other states would follow suit
