Ate a big bag of Cool Ranch Doritos, why is it hard to resist crunchy snacks?

What is it about Crunchy food? I have no self control, if you give me a bag ill eat he entire thing, be it chips, or pork rinds or cornuts or popcorn when im watching a movie or a game. I just finished a big bag of the reduced fat Cool Ranch Doritos after I ate my Wing Stop Chicken wings order. I washed it down with a cold Barqs Rootbeer all while watching some NFL Preseason countdown.

There has to be a psychology to it, why crunchy crispy snacks like chips cause us to want to eat more.

Pork Rindss are the worst, Ill eat the entire bag regardless Ill dip them in vinegar, or ill eat the spicey hot ones.

Im not as ripped as I once was in my younger days, but im not fat either, I can pretty much pig out and not gain weight.

Cool Ranch Doritos are so good. I got a little too intoxicated the other day and got some Nachos Cheese and Cool Ranch bags delivered via Uber Eats, haven't opened them yet. All I see when I look at each bag is 1350 Calories (150 Calories, 9 servings) of carbs. I'll nibble on some slowly throughout the month so as not to be wasteful though.
