Do you think there is a MACV-SOG of the modern age military?

For those that don't know, MACV-SOG was an elite military unit consisting of the best of the best soldiers back in Vietnam. This unit was top secret and NOBODY even knew they existed until the 1990s.

Makes me wonder if there is a top secret unit that nobody knows about in todays age, or past 20 years.

Howdy....

I don't know, but I'd guess there is forspecific taskoriented operations.
Wars and tactics have changed greatly over the decades so I think it's always evolving.

I think the Marines special ops groups go under the umbrella of "MARSOC" now.
I know nothing regarding other branches.
Maybe someone else has some current G2 on your topic.
