So recession gonna happen or no?
-Had a meeting at work a week ago where the Director says the whole company is expecting to have sales down to recession levels next FY, layoffs expected to happen
-Says it's like that all over and beyond our industry as well
-A lot of talk in the news and other avenues say the same thing
-Come into work today and find out my counterparts at other offices put in their notice (cuck behavior btw)
So apparently a recession finna happen but everyone is finding better employment elsewhere. Unless they are hopping aboard the OF train I don't see how this makes sense.
What's it like where you're at?

It's happening slowly. They need to cut out all the Zombie companies. In a typical year they would dump it quick and rebuild slowly, but this time around it's going to be a full reset.

When we actually were in a recession, the definition of a recession was changed to convince the public it wasn't happening.

We've been in recession since last qtr of 2023.
They're putting lipstick on a pig until the election in order to not lose to Trump, because the incumbents almost always lose when there's a recession.

We have been in it. IDGAF what the stock market is doing, what unemployment says. Sure those things down would be worse but it's not everything.
Consumer debt is at an all time high. People's buying power has been dropping. Bankruptcies, Repos, foreclosure rates are at the highest point since 2010.
