Even California is tired of her policies.

Why Trump isn’t using this as ammo is beyond me.

California currently wants to remove prop 47 a prop Kamala fought for.

They say she’s hard on crime but this prop says the opposite.

For those unaware prop 47 increased the amount something needs to be for criminals to be held accountable.

Criminals have exploited this by strategically staying bellow this amount.

🌟 **Breaking News from California!** 🌟

In a significant move, California lawmakers are considering repealing Proposition 47, a measure passed in 2014 that reduced certain non-violent crimes from felonies to misdemeanors. Supporters argue that it has helped lower incarceration rates and provided essential resources for rehabilitation, while critics claim it has contributed to rising crime levels and public safety concerns.

As the debate heats up, many are wondering: What will this mean for our communities? Will it enhance safety, or will it undo the progress made in criminal justice reform? 🏛️⚖️

Let’s engage in a respectful conversation about the implications of this potential repeal. Your thoughts? 💬👇 #CaliforniaPolitics #Prop47 #CriminalJusticeReform

Kamala Harris, during her tenure as California's Attorney General, supported Proposition 47, which was aimed at reforming the state's criminal justice system. Her position was rooted in the belief that the measure would help reduce the prison population by reclassifying certain non-violent offenses, such as drug possession and petty theft, from felonies to misdemeanors.

Harris argued that this reform would allow for a greater focus on rehabilitation rather than punishment, ultimately helping to decrease recidivism rates and providing individuals with a chance to reintegrate into society. She believed that reducing the penalties for these offenses would free up resources to be redirected towards mental health and drug treatment programs, as well as support for education and job training.

Overall, her support for Prop 47 reflected a broader commitment to criminal justice reform and addressing systemic issues within the legal system, aiming to create a more equitable approach to crime and punishment in California.

📉 **Concerns About Proposition 47 and Its Impact on California Businesses** 📉

As discussions surrounding Proposition 47 continue, many business owners across California are expressing their worries about the negative effects it has had on the local economy. While the intention behind Prop 47 was to reform the criminal justice system, the unintended consequences have raised significant concerns for the business community.

1. **Increase in Shoplifting and Theft**: Many retailers have reported a rise in shoplifting and petty theft since the passage of Prop 47. With certain thefts classified as misdemeanors, some individuals may feel less deterred from committing these crimes, leading to increased losses for businesses.

2. **Higher Security Costs**: In response to rising theft, many businesses are forced to invest more in security measures, such as surveillance systems and security personnel. This added expense can strain budgets, particularly for small businesses already facing financial challenges.

3. **Insurance Premiums Rise**: Increased incidents of theft and vandalism can lead to higher insurance premiums for businesses. As they seek to protect their assets, many owners are finding it more difficult to manage costs, which can ultimately affect their bottom line.

4. **Impact on Consumer Confidence**: A perception of rising crime can deter customers from shopping in certain areas, leading to decreased foot traffic and sales. Many business owners are concerned that this trend could lead to long-term economic decline in affected neighborhoods.

5. **Challenges for Employees**: Employees may feel unsafe in their workplaces due to the increase in theft and crime, leading to higher turnover rates and difficulties in attracting talent. A safe and secure working environment is essential for employee morale and productivity.

As California grapples with the repercussions of Prop 47, it’s clear that the conversation about criminal justice reform must also consider the needs and concerns of our local businesses. What are your thoughts on how we can strike a balance between effective reform and ensuring a safe environment for commerce? 💬👇 #CaliforniaBusiness #Prop47 #EconomicImpact

Critics of Prop 47, though, including San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, claim that it has led to an explosion of retail theft..
"When crimes are committed, there must be consequences," Gloria said at his State of the City address earlier this year.
Gloria said that criminals have exploited Prop 47's reforms, ransacking stores and turning retail theft into a '"cottage industry," forcing stores to respond by locking up their products.
