Quite easy. Look at the recent stabbing attacks in Sydney, or what happens every other week in Britain. In the attacks I'm recalling most people only got stuck once and it was enough to kill them.

If you watch police training videos on edged weapons you can see how quickly an armed assailant can close down a cop. IIRC you need 20 feet to safely draw and fire your gun, and even then you still need to be accurate.



It's not like the movies where people get slashed and there's just this little red line there and the fight continues. Knives can fuk you up very quickly. Any competent martial arts instructor will tell you to run when you are threatened with a knife.
