I know people who are poor as hell and keep popping out kids. All I feel bad for is the kids themselves, because they will be the next generation's train wrecks.
I have two kids split time and do pretty well financially compared to most, and it's still a struggle.

Social media and access to porn corrupting young minds is an interesting concept and I do wonder how kids these days function in relationships. I meet plenty of teenagers as part of work- most are awkward as phuck, some are ok, and others are downright rude/belligerent/don't respect their parents.
Maybe me and my mates were just phucked cause I remember going to great lengths just to download a 30sec clip of basic poosay on limewire etc and hide it on the family PC at that age, now boys could be watching wild gangbang chit in 4k from the comfort of their bedroom. Maybe it's balanced out by all the politically correct awareness that was less of thing in the 00's than it is now.
I would definitely not allow smartphones until teenage and then limit that pretty hard too if I were a parent. There is no real need for them anyway at that stage of life.
Finance is the other interesting side. I don't have kids (yet) but the thought of not being able to easily help them out financially worries me, cause costs of just keeping up already are high enough paying mortgage/bills/tax etc. Feels like I'll be working forever to pay for them/help them.
Would be interested to hear other miscers' views on both aspects, particularly those in late 20's-30's who haven't had big financial help/investment portfolios from real estate boom in recent years.

Two groups of people in the USA:
People reproducing on "accident"
people waiting until they hit financial retirement to start a family. I'm not joking, most moms I see with elementary aged kids are 40+ or early 20s.

I'd say the smart people can discern social media from reality and make good choices.

I’ll be ok if he finds a hobby message board or something.
But subjecting yourself to an algorithm designed to manipulate you. where companies pay some tech overlord to allow them to be vassals in their kingdom, manipulating and peddling their wares to the serfs who populate it and mindlessly fund a new tech feudalism…. Is some real fukking low iq chit.

The modern social media is designed to be addictive and take advantage of natural pleasure circuitry, so it’s just best to avoid it until more developed cognitively imo
