It’s insane how rapidly I’ve aged in my late 20s

I was looking at some old photos of myself from a few years ago and it made me feel depressed AF srs.

From about 18-26 I didn’t noticeably age at all. In fact, I became better looking every single year at I gained muscle and confidence.

Then around 2 years ago the flood gates opened. I lost my youthful glow. I stated wrinkling, growing deep bags under my eyes, my receding hairline accelerated with additional thinning on top, now I’m picking out grey hairs from my beard srs.

On top of that my body feels weaker, more susceptible to injury, FAR less energetic.

It’s like I aged a decade in just the last couple years. I’m 28 years old and I see a 40 year old man in the mirror.

I’m sure much of it is due to stress but ho lee fook I want to go back.

I'm 31 days sober now and have been taking selfies everyday and have progressed dramatically. I've been comparing the most recent selfies at age 29 to my early 20s and I look exactly the same

If u drink/smoke, quit that chit immediately srs

I'm waiting for the gym to open up in 30 mins so I can start doing cardio. Also cleaned up my slop diet. I'm gonna eat 95% of my foods from the fresh produce and fresh meat aisles from now on. Also slowly removing all other drinks until I cut down to water and 2 cups of coffee in the morning only.

Also day 2 of nofap rn finna go 30 days and see how if that helps.

Do a hard reset and eat whole foods. Avoid sugar. Get a regular sleep schedule.

hows your diet / boozing / exercise etc?

i notice when i booze a lot my skin looks pretty haggard, when i take a few weeks off i look a lot younger / better.

drinking a lot of water helps too.

idk what to tell ya on the hair. either get an HT / hop on fin (idk if i believe fin is safe)

if you're not working out regularly that can help the sleep

i've got plenty of greys myself at age 37 but i still look better than 90% of my peers because i'm not some chubby soy cuck with bitch tits on ssris (ded fkn Srs)

You got two options:

-Work hard and get in the best shape of your life. You'll be phucking fine with eye bags and some wrinkles

-Give up and be an alcoholcel

OP is an anomaly tbh.

Everyone knows most miscers still look like they're in their early 20's, some even late teens, despite the fact they're deep into their 30's.

Welcome to the life. Boyo cut the coffee too. Caffeine is an addictive drug. Look at all the baguettes “I NEED my coffee!!!” and you will also feel significantly better

That’s the thing boyos. I don’t smoke or drink at all. I can count on one hand the number of alcoholic drinks I’ve had in my entire life. I generally eat healthy, no sweets, maybe too many calories at worst. I have been exercising 3-5 days per week since the beginning of Covid. I’m not vaxxed. Having a sedentary office job probably does the most damage. Sometimes I wonder if I have an undiagnosed chronic or terminal illness srs.

i mean yea u make a chit ton of posts saying u wanna rope because of ur job. You've developed avoidance personality. Sitting around miserable 8 hours a day hoping nobody talks to u. Going to sleep hoping nobody talks to you at work tomorrow. Waking up dreaded hoping nobody talks to you. Driving to work hoping nobody talks to you.

Its only a matter of time until u blow up. Switch jobs ASAP srs.

If you stay in shape and use Tretinoin and Finasteride, it's surprising how young you can remain. But if you just let things happen, you'll def age around 30.

It’s rough, but it shows how much most rely on caffeine. Once you get past it, the increase in your natural energy level and sleep is worth it

From what you have described if you think that is 40 you're going to be really shocked when you actually turn 40, brah.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

From what I've witnessed from friends/family, these are the biggest youth killers in order of broootalness:

1. Smoking
2. Drinking
3. Genetics
4. Stress (goes hand in hand with not enough sleep)
5. UV exposure
6. Weed
7. Other drugs (pepsi, opiates etc)
8. Not moisturising
9. Bad diet
10. Significantly fluctuating weight

Mitigate stress. Get 7+ hours sleep a night religiously.

Otherwise, keep lifting, high protein, dial back the carbs (no more than absolutely necessary to hit a workout or if you have an active job).

Stop or limit alcohol. Stop or limit sugar. Stop or limit heavily processed junk food. Dump any drug(s) you use, recreational entirely, if a doctor prescribed one, think about lifestyle choices that could lead you to not use them either, if it's even possible (and under the supervision of your doctor)

I would fast once a week. Give your body a break and let it heal.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

I'm 29. So far no greys in my facial hair, but definitely some greys in my hair. The only thing I've noticed so far is the parting at the top of my scalp is getting a little more noticable/wider, I can even sometimes feel coldness in that location, feelsbadmane. Thankfully the hairline itself is basically the same as when I was 20.

Since I had kids I've aged at a double time rate. Was still getting carded at 32. Now at 38 in a couple weeks, I could pass for 40 to a young person.

Don't love it, but I had a good run. Still have my hair, so maybe some botox and better diet I can shave off some years.

Lmao.

In your late 20s, especially ~28ish you should be in peak shape if you stayed consistent with lifting and cardio throughout your 20s.

If youre falling apart in your late 20s, your late 30s will be way worse.
