I've wanted to be a millionaire for decades but it literally feels impossible. The only opportunity I had was I heard about bitcoin when it first came out but I didn't understand it or see the point of it so I didn't invest but would have been a millionaire had I done it. Haven't came across any other opportunities like that since.

I hate my job tho and if I resign I can access the $30k I have in my 401k, and I have no idea what type of business or side hustle I can start for $30k.

Yeah, I think its possible to be worth $1-2 million (by the time you retire) even with an average job if you're frugal and invest aggressively, but not a billionaire. I think people have a hard time conceptualizing how much $1billion dollars is because it is a comical amount of money. You don't get to that level of money unless you've burned bridges, harmed/stole/exploited people, have some insane talent or invested in a niche and were essentially in, or born in, the right place at the right time (luck).

This was kinda my situation. I was completely aware of Bitcoin, hell, there was a massive thread here on the misc hyping up bitcoin that I lurked in, but back then, the idea of a "cryptocurrency" was so foreign, and it was so convoluted and complexed to even purchase it all felt like a MASSIVE scam on a global scale.

Hell, even with apps like Kraken/Binance/Trust Wallet etc where purchasing BTC has been stream-lined, there's still a bit of a learning curve, but before those apps, you basically had to know how to code to properly invest.

Even if you worked your ass off for 60 years, you'd likely never be a billionaire. Millionaire yes, but billionaire, no. Actually there's a strong chance that even if you bust your ass you just fail anyway and lose what you did manage to accumulate at some point.

Would you say someone gifted with the insane talent of being able to do complex math problems mentally (instantaneous answers for problems like 854 * 235) , and a massive capacity of photographic memory (can memorize hundreds of entire books, thousands of phone numbers, etc by seeing it only once,). A good example would be the autistic guy from Rain Man with the gifts and not the retardation.

If you combined this with intense discipline and work ethic, would you say this person eventually has the potential to go further than being a millionaire?

Being rich isn't about being smart, although being smart is a contributing factor.

It's like how you don't need to be 6'8 to be an NBA all star - Stephen curry is 6'2 and is world renowned. There are other, even shorter players than Stephen, but the reason that I mentioned him is that I am 6'2 and would never be able to play competitive bball.

I am probably as smart or smarter than many millionaires out there, but that doesn't mean I am richer than them.

There are a few metrics which determine success and riches, but none as much as luck.
