Why dating advice is terrible

This might be the best video i've ever seen that really breaks down what is wrong, or rather what is the main failing, of 90% of dating advice out there.

6:43 onwards i'm looking at you BBMG.

Most people don't know what the fkc they're talking about in general. Something happens and then they notice a pattern of how it happened, so they miscontrue this to mean that by repeating the same pattern as before, it MUST be done that way.

Whenever I've had an actual success in life it always happened in a way that no one could have predicted it anyway - now I live my life that way.

From what i've seen of your posts I think you're similar to BBMG, in that you are a little too obsessed with "attractiveness", and most of your dating woes can probably be attributed to you being a psychological mess as opposed to your overall attractiveness.

I'm in the other camp. I'm fairly psychologically sound but i'm not especially attractive in any way.

But watch the video, seriously. He covers all of this really well.

I don't actually; i've read/seen it all at this point. I like psyche and he's one of the few psyche YouTubers whose content is not complete garbage. In the early days he put out more varied content but as he's become more successful he's honed in on dating, relationships, smv, etc. And I don't blame him cos that's obviously where the clicks/money is.

If you like psyche the channel is worth checking out.

I'll give it a watch.

My initial comments pre-watching this is that 99% of dating advice really is horrible because none of it is based on the potential of marriage. A Christian marriage. The secular world is just obsessed with sex, swindling your way into someone's bed, and acting "alpha" while peacocking endlessly for some snatch.

You've gotten great dating advice.

You're just a train wreck of a broken human that most men should run far, far away from.

This is more a “state of the world” take than why most dating advice is bad. You’re not wrong as such, you’re just talking about something slightly different.

Good dating advice should reflect the realities of the dating world, but so much dating advice fails at this, or rather it hones in on one aspect at the expense of others.

I think, broadly speaking, dating advice targeted to women is overly “feel good” sorta stuff, and dating advice peddled to men is a bit too brutally economic “black pill” esque type stuff.
