Miscers love to whip out “Dunning-Kruger”

I’ll see miscers in an argument and at some point one of them will say: “this is a bad case of Dunning-Kruger.”

I feel like it’s just grasping at straws. What are your qualifications to label the situation as DK?

Usually those invoking it are themselves guilty of it

Most people on here don't know anything about a specific topic, but love to talk about a wide variety of things, which is typical on forums.

When they meet someone who does know what they are talking about they get mind blown, feel stupid, and then go into effeminate mode with some form of insult. The correct thing to do would be to say it's interesting, they didn't know that, or are going to look into it.

100% and we should all be able to admit we are humans that can be affected by emotions (unfortunately) and make a rash post here or there or admit to being incorrect. The ones who cant admit that are usually the most effeminate.

It's become so petty that any point made by either side is completely de-nuanced and given zero benefit of the doubt.

I always learn new social things here like trends, political ideas, and unique religious ideas people have AND a lot about mental illness in posters.

One does not always have to be right.
