Are cops tradies ?

They do a combination of on the job training and schooling (academy and FTO)

You need to be licensed by the state to be a qualified LEO just like tradies do in most places

Blue Collar culture

You even get issued tools to do your job and a toolbelt

Are cops law and public safety tradies ?

Pretty sure it’s the opposite from what I’ve seen so far as a EMT

Most tradies barely function on the job site due to frying their brains from alcoholism and drug abuse

Cops have to make some hard split second decisions while being able to weigh the consequences and make sure they’re 100% in the right

They also have to constantly worry about getting disciplined or fired for actually doing their job in liberal urban areas now

Id say the latter is more intellectually challenging than anything like the building trades
