The Democrats have been in power most of the last 20 years.

Maybe it’s time they hand over the steering wheel before we fall deeper off the cliff.

I mean for me personally I’ve never been in a better place than I am right now.. making 160k+ a year, new car, vacations already planned for rest of this year, maxing out TSP.

The only things that I wish could be better are home prices to come down, and if my union wasn’t so afraid of Trump and what he would do that that extended our contract without a major pay raise.

I should be making 200k+ for the chit I do.. srs

Actually OP - it's been pretty split on the federal level. Dems seemed to have had control more often, but only slightly

2004 - 2006 = GOP president, GOP senate, GOP house
2006 - 2008 = GOP president, Dem senate, Dem house
2008-2010 = Dem trifecta
2010 - 2012 = Dem president, Dem senate, GOP house
2012 - 2014 = Dem president, Dem senate, GOP house
2014 - 2016 = Dem president, GOP senate, GOP house
2016-2018 = GOP trifecta
2018 - 2020 = GOP president, GOP senate, Dem house
2020 - 2022 = Dem trifecta
2022 - 2024 = Dem president, Dem senate, GOP house
