Edit: I have one buddy that's 5'10, 170 that's built like a tank, We had a short grappling sort of match in his backyard when I had recently injured my ankle and had been off work and sedentary for over 2 months, muscle tightness, anterior pelvic tilt, and muscle atrophy like crazy. I gave about 15% effort and used my weight and he wasn't even able to move me. I generally try to let people win now and again though so I don't shatter their ego. In a serious fight I'd probably just run up and bear hug slam someone to the ground like a rag doll and drop elbows to the dome until their out.

Shocked when I see women walking through parks, crazy stuff, stick to well lit, populated areas if you are alone.

Her legs or arms weren't crossed, she wasn't rolling her eyes when I glanced at her, she wasn't making an exasperated sigh, so i thought this was all in my head. My stop comes up, and she gets up first and walks to the train door right next to where I'm sitting. i get up and am standing behind a few people waiting for the train door to open. I take my time and walk out just to put some extra distance between me and her because i felt a little weird. She glances behind at me and starts walking faster up the stairs. I'm like oh, i wasn't being paranoid. Something was off. So i walk even slower. Now I feel like Jason as she's looking behind again and walks even faster while my pace slowed down a lot. I get up out of the train station and I see her look behind one last time before she breaks off in a full on sprint.
I was so rustled I had to laugh. There were at least 10 women on that train that looked better than she did, and she thinks it was her I wanted to make a lampshade out of, smh.
Edit: I have 5 sisters, so I'm all for women defending themselves. Dudes can be thirsty and make women uncomfortable. It's situations like the one i posted that rustle me a little when they act fearful for no reason.

I personally do not walk around thinking I'm going to get attacked. I have even walked home from the train station at 11pm I live in bush area, I just think if someone is going to attack me they would either be A. following me to begin with or B. Random driving around hoping they would bump into someone walking alone *which is highly unlikely because no one walks around my area, if someone was going to do this they would go were the possibly of finding someone is higher.

It's smart for women to be very aware of their surroundings. Absolutely. My wife is 100 pounds soaking wet and couldn't defend herself against anyone. So she tries her best to be smart. The world she deals with is night and day to mine and its eye opening to really think about. Girls I've known over the years who liked to run were always very nervous about getting raped. I can't wrap my head around that being a fear you actually have to acknowledge and live with. Me, I've worked in one of the worst areas of my city for years now. There is a HUGE homeless population anywhere you go within a mile or two of my office and with them, plenty of drugs and issues with cracked out people harassing people at random. Over time you kind of learn what to watch for whether you are doing so on purpose or on a subconscious level. I'm not a small guy by any means and I've boxed (for fun) since I could walk, but dudes on meth give no ****s about any of that. Still, it doesn't make me nervous and I never worry about getting raped just for living my life. Women have to deal with some real ****.

He asks the guys how its like and do we check our surroundings and we all said no or just didnt answer. Then he asked the girls the same thing and they start listing chit like. Parking next to a light at night, checking their surroundings at all times, bring a buddy with u, keep headphones so no one talks to you, walk fast, etc. One girl even said as she walks she checks for escape routes in case something happens. I never thought about any of this as a male.

They did a study a while back and surveyed thousands of people about what they were afraid of the most.
Womens greatest fear was being beaten to death by someone they know...
Mens greatest fear was being laughed at (rejected) by a women...

I recently moved to a city and that flew out the window after I got mugged and almost stabbed. Luckily I'm a guy and was able to fight this scumbag off. A woman would have gotten her **** stolen and stabbed 4-5 times in the chest.
I'm definitely aware of my surroundings now.
The worst part though is that I was raised to be non-racist and absolutely non-biased towards anyone of any race. That's also flown out the window as I've realized that racism is the most efficient way to screen my surroundings and keep myself safe at night. It sucks but that's real life and virtue signaling doesn't keep you safe. In my case, it almost got me killed.
I also ignore bums now. I don't give them money. I'm a coldhearted, sociopathic, paranoid racist bastard now but I have to do it to stay safe

Stun guns are the go to choice here. They might hurt but you're not seriously wounding somebody that you don't even know was going to hurt you.

Serious response to OP, women are f*cking delusional. I'm sure some of them feel the need to do that stuff or feel threatened but the reality is odds are pretty good no one wants to rape 99% of the girls out there walking to class.
But all women have such an ego they think they are a prime target for such an attack.

Go walk around saying hi to random people at night in the city. You'll get shanked and, in my opinion, it will be justified.
I think this right here is why there was such a huge disconnect in different parts of the country on the Zimmerman/ Trayvon Martin shooting. I used to side with Zimmerman. After living in the city, I now side with Trayvon. It someone's following you around in a van at night and you're alone, then he gets out to confront you, you have to take out the guy in the van BEFORE he takes out you. If you assume the best intentions of the other guy stalking you in that kind of situation, you're going to eventually get killed.

My 4'10" big sister used to live solo in the hood. The real hood. Where there's decibel detectors on street lights to geo-locate gun shots, etc. She would walk home late after work every day and not a single **** was given. Early morning, too. Unarmed, not paranoid. I guess she's lucky, but honestly creepy people are -everywhere- and living paranoid seems absurd and perpetuates victim culture. Yes, people actually get attacked. this is a fact. Everybody who has ever been to university, or lived in the world, knows this. But.. people who are so paranoid... that's just sad. I wish you'd get over yourselves. I promise, you're not that important. The majority of people walking by you are not, in fact, thinking of violently taking advantage of you. (fact)

Really depends who is attacking you and if you will have half a chance. Me personally I would probably turn around take my chance with out running him than try and fight. I play fight with my husband he doesn't even use half his strength he still pushes me around like a kitty with no hope in hell of pushing him over.

Maybe I'm naive but this stuff just doesn't cross my mind when I'm out, not to some of the extremes ITT anyway. Granted I don't walk through the hood at 2 in the morning or anything and I'm not walking around oblivious to everything; I'll be 'aware' but I don't feel the need to keep a pen knife on me or look out for the nearest escape routes whenever I'm out alone

If you could do that, guys in the UFC would be using 1 finger death touches against the body's weak points to win fights.
