if they had a smaller version i would pay the price. I keep my phone 4-5 years. if battery dies, I get a new battery inserted. Fact is its going to be ann excellent iphone. No iphones are bad though. They get old and cant run the software/apps updating but thats just technology. Today, right now. That iphone x and 8 are going to be top dogs for the next years to come.

This. It isn't just an apple thing. When I bought my 6s+ all of the comparable phones we're basically the same price. And with the way the "pay as you go" things are now, I actually saved money in the long term buying my $750 phone. Switched companies, got new phone, got lower bill. Not really "upset" I paid $750 for a phone at that point.

If you don't think it's worth it, don't buy it. If you want one and it's youre thing, go for it. But lol if you think it's just apple. Theyre just usually the first to do it and market it well. Hence why I own AAPL...

Exactly.. everyone bitching, but all Android devices are going up in price as well, even Googles flagship Pixel XL phone is $650. Phones across the board aren't getting cheaper, only more expensive. People are just jumping on the iPhone to look cool.

I used to be an Android fan, but I switched to iPhone and I won't go back. Yes, Android has some of the features before iPhone does, but y'all are the beta testers of those features, once all the bugs are worked out and Apple see's whether or not users like it and what needs to be changed about it, Apple goes in and perfects them and integrates them with their OS.

Why is everyone so bent out on the price, usually carriers give the option to step up for little to no cost.

Last year Verizon was giving away iphone 7s to those who turned in a 6 for about a week and a half after they were released. Sprint and other companies do something similar.

Are you guys having an unecessary argument? lol

Also, the X is their flagship, We should be talking about the iphone 8 price point. Hint: It starts at 699. Are you guys just a bunch of ****ing idiots?

I never use the headphone jack anyways, I have the 7+ which doesn't have one. However, there is an adapter that comes with it to use your wired headphones. So, no biggie. I have 128GB of space, plus cloud storage from iCloud and Google Drive, so who cares? ROFL at this being an issue in 2017.

I thought this too, but who uses wired headphones for a phone anymore?

Wireless headphones in the gym are the new standard for me after jumping to them. The freedom isn't even comparable. I actually felt dumb for not getting some sooner

Wired headphones have the potential for better sound quality, sure, but unless plugged into an external amplifier that point is moot. No smartphone will produce audiophile quality playback

I still use wired headphones, I cant use wireless because they will just fall out of my ears and drop into a drain or something when im running (cauli ear)

waterproof means nothing to me. Times Ive dropped my phone = 0, times Ive dropped my phone into a toilet= 0. Times the headphone wire has saved me from dropping my phone= several.

Ill keep the archaic tech because it works for my needs.
