So my dad picked me up a starter safe for xmas.

Issue is I live on a second floor apartment and it's 525lbs. I wouldn't consider any of us weak by any means but that is far heavier than anything I've ever taken up a flight of stairs.

4 dudes and a heavy duty dolly enough or should I said **** it and hire a moving crew?[/QUOTE]Furniture lifting straps like Shoulder Dolly are amazing. My better half and I got all our furniture upstairs by ourselves, including a washer and dryer and some heavy ass dressers. Two guys should be able to get a 525 lb safe upstairs with these. They sell them at Lowe's too.

F*cking Lol. Local shop I was patient as heck with for getting the glock finally called and said they have mine ready for me.

Told them nope I already bought one.

4 months of stalling. Yeah unless they have what I’m looking for in stock or get a tracking number of some sort, I’m not dealing with the wait with them.

Srs if you were the owner in this store and legitamitely felt a threat, do you think it would be hard to pass shooting at this ******* as self defense in court?

I don't see when, how, or why I should consider shooting him. *Based only on what I saw watching the video once*, I couldn't tell he was armed until after he had been locked in the store, so...why would somebody have shot him?

That reminds me, I now have put a few hundred rounds through the SIG P320 after getting the 'voluntary upgrade'. Trigger is still a spongy, heavy, gritty, clicky mess. Hasn't improved at all. I wish I could have my old trigger back, which was a great trigger and why I bought the gun, but I also don't want a defective gun.

Fair enough, you’re right.

Now what if the door was locked by say the owner of the store and you were inside the room while he pulled out his gun?

In Chicago lots of businesses including ours have locks that we can turn on and off behind the bulletproof since we’re isolated from where customers enter and can potentially grab and steal items.

I know how it is for your team to be in a huge game (okay, not that huge) and come soooooo close but lose. When I was at Purdue, they were almost really good. Undefeated ranked #4 playing a top 10 team, homecoming, ESPN Gameday on campus, nationally televised night game, game was OVER, it was WON. And then found a way to lose it through a series of horrible events including blatant and official-admitted no-calls on def PI. Oct 16 2004. Unbelievably deflating.

Road game at Ohio State in November, second to last week of the season, going in with a good record, OSU ranked really high, held Ohio State to 0 offensive TD's and put the game to OT with a blocked FG. Los in OT on a missed FG, I can still see the ball falling feet short of the uprights right in front of our seats.

Year before that, Ohio State at Purdue, Ohio State's undefeated national championship year (defeated Miami in champ game), Purdue was the closest team to beating OSU all season probably. Had the lead 6-3 with about 1:36 left to play in the 4th, 4th and short outside field goal range, blitzed the safeties all out to stop the run, one on one coverage for the WR, got the pass off down the left side, TD. ESPN magazine had a full article after the season breaking down that exact play as the closest OSU came to losing.

Then there was the Capital One bowl against Georgia, down like 0-24, came back, GA only had to take a knee to win but they ran and fumbled and Purdue recovered and SCORED and forced OT...only to lose in OT (and once again, uncalled defensive PI, but whatever)

Uh, well, don't go locking armed robbers in with other customers.

Even in that purely hypothetical situation he's probably not concerned with the other random customer, so may not shoot, why make yourself a threat when you otherwise aren't, why risk not getting the shot off, or a jam, or a miss, or a failure to incapacitate, and how you just gave the guy with a gun who seemingly had no reason at all to hurt you, reason to kill you

Strong.

So refreshing to see someone admit a their purchase is dogsh,t instead of going on the immediate defensive "hOW bOUt yOu jUST DoNT DRop iT?"

Then again you've have a nice collection of weapons to judge it against and it isn't your only pistol. Unlike a lot of the uber defensive sigbois.

I'm flying to Seattle/Seatac/Renton this weekend to visit the Museum of Flight on Sunday.

I'll be eating at Seatac-area restaurants on Saturday and Sunday. The Seatac 2018 minimum wage is $15.64.

If servers are already making that much, why should I add a tip to my dining check?

We've transferred quite a few 320's as well as had several come through for cerakote. I've not felt asingleone that had a decent trigger.

I have far too many national-championship-dreams-crushed memories than I care to think about.

- '82 Orange Bowl . . . lose to Clemson
- '84 Orange Bowl . . . Heisman winner Rozier gets hurt and NU goes for the win on a 2 pt conversion and fails.
- '94 Orange Bowl . . . NU defense hammers Charlie Ward all game, but they get a phantom KR TD penalty and we miss a winning FG late (won the next 2 tho)
- '02 Rose Bowl . . . probably didn't deserve to be there, but everyone else ahead of us lost and NU got the honor of being waxed by Miami

Yeah it would be more harmful, I’ve thought this but the f*cker gets loose and probably won’t get caught.

I don’t even think it would be right to lock the door if someone were outside during a shooting bc then innocent customers who might have access to enter the door and stay behind the bulletproof doors/glass wouldn’t be safe. And then again what if the shooter uses the open door to his/her advantage and enters where customers would be. Sucks both ways

Since I missed the discussion...I prefer to open carry in rural areas and conceal in urban areas. On two occasions I've been glad that I was open carrying while hiking out in remote areas where I've come across some sketchy people. Both times their attitudes changed when they saw the gun and we all went on our own ways. My dad has had a similar encounter while out camping with his gf at the time and one other couple. Truck packed full of guys who had obviously been drinking pulled up on their campsite. Immediately appeared to want to cause some trouble until they saw the gun on his hip and rifle leaned up against the log next to him and decided to leave.

For urban areas though, I don't like that many people being around and in my blindspots with my gun in view, although I have still done it when coming back from dirt biking or hiking and stopping by the gas station or grocery store on the way home. Honestly though I doubt it'd make much difference one way or the other. When I have open carried in public, very few of the people I pass even notice. If someone came in to rob a gas station or something, there's a solid chance they wouldn't notice either unless you're right in front of them at the right angle. At that point I could see it potentially going either way and having it work as a deterrent or potentially making you a target.
