I can't believe people are debating with a gay guy about fashion in this thread. He wins by default, fools.
I also could have done without the mental imagery of Thanos gorilla-banging some rando dude, but such is life when you enter into a misc thread - you never know what you're going to get.

I hope in Part II they investigate/look at Thanos' backstory a bit. For the normal cinema-goer it's hard to understand his true intentions without investigating why he is such way.

- Thanos is a Forever Aloner, those ideas and obsession over balancing the universe can't come from a guy who has it with women.
- The fact that Ant-Man and Hawkeye aren't in this film, makes it clear their role in part 2 will be crucial.

Just got back from seeing it. Enjoyed the whole thing - the humor worked way better than Thor 3 by not becoming tone-breaking. Likewise the side-quips by RDJ were brought down a notch (way too much of that in Avengers 2).
The one scene that had my jaw drop was the Red Skull reveal. Was not expecting that at all. The actor had said he hated playing the part, working on the first cap movie, etc - so no expectations of Hugo Weaving showing up in this.
As for the post-credit tag: Knowing what we know about Brie Larson's real life personality, I really don't want her portraying the savior in Avengers 4

Would be so dumb if she’s the mightiest hero but reading her power list on google, she sounds OP. List is like twenty items long.

Brie larson is such a weird ******* that i dont want to see her on screen. very serious. Her character is going to be a mcgruffen to single handedly destroy thanos then give marvel an answer to DC's wonder woman. no thank you. I would rather disney hurry up and finish what ever deal they have to bring in the fantastic four (thing and hulk jumping thanos? sign me up) or the xmen than to put the fate of the story in a feminazi

Her big “#MeToo” story was about the terrors of a guy asking for her number.

Holy fuk
Just saw it for a second time and I liked it even more.
Thanos may be the best character in the MCU, not just the best villain.
So glad I managed to avoid all spoilers. Seeing Red Skull blew my mind.
That was absolutely the most perfect ending to a movie ever.

It's what he was wearing when he was with Hulk and Strange when Squidward showed up. He pulled the drawstrings and turned into Ironman. RDJ is a pretty good looking dude no homo. I was mirin some of the gadgets he had that he actually lasted longer than I thought during that brief 1v1 with Thanos.

If you haven’t noticed, everyone in this thread thinks Black Widow is dumb and useless. You can’t have a superhero universe without at least one good female superhero in it. Since the X-men aren’t in it, you don’t have any Jean Grey or Storm. Just Scarlet Witch and she’s not that popular.
You might not care, they could put anything in a movie with a cape and you’d show up but women buy movie tickets too and the whole feminist superhero thing is getting a lot of traction since Wonder Woman.
Captain Marvel is a business move. You might rage after the next film but it is going to make them even more money.

So is there actually a narrative reason why the core Avengers team in whole conveniently is apart of the half remaining universe lol. It's literally the only way that Thanos' plot can come to fail (which actually is in the narrative as part of Strange's vision).
Plus it's weird how they brought everybody back and then some except for Clint and Ant-Man.

Also, I just got back from a second viewing of the movie. I noticed that when Nebula arrived on Titan, there were no indications if her ship fell apart. It could still be functional and allow Nebula and Tony to get off the planet

I'm slightly disappointed that Thanos didn't actually hurl a whole moon at a planet like the trailers led me to believe. That trailer scene of him pulling on the moon, with his infinity gauntlet poised in the air, and him giving that classic Thanos teeth-baring grimace, is arguably the most iconic Thanos scene ever in the MCU. But it turns out all he was doing was throwing a whole barrage of moon pieces at the planet. Which is still an epic move, don't get me wrong. But I really wanted to see him throw a whole freaking moon. Oh well.
Thor's entrance to the Wakanda battlefield was glorious as fuuuuck.
