I think the best comparison is with China, which also had huge population in poverty. This commonly draws many comparisons to Africa with people asking why they cant rise like China.

The difference is what lies under the ground.Africa has far greater natural resources like minerals.

China's main resource is the population itself. Before Great Wall was built, there were many small groups commonly conflicting similar to Africa. Large effort was made by world's richest corporations to unite, extinguish conflicts & get everyone in order so they can be put to work in a systemic fashion. China is also in a very strategic position geopolitically. Chinese communist party & world's richest capitalists are partners playing a charade pretending to be on opposing teams.

The exact opposite was done in Africa. The richest corporations wanted their hands on African resources so they invested very heavily in keeping Africa divided & distracted. Local conflicts were intentionally inflamed & magnified several-fold using covert operations. A few corrupt locals are put as the face of mining operations, with foreign heavyweights pocketing largest portion of profits.

Similar strategy in U.S. CIA flooded black communities with cheap drugs resulting in high addiction & crime rates. Result would be the same in any targeted community. Decent cops don't want to go anywhere near such communities as there is much higher personal risk, instead these areas attract the worst bully cops to further inflame racial resentment. Its a self-reinforcing system.

Media showcases violence in Africa & in US black communities so viewers form simpleton 'obvious' opinions about the people there without considering what goes on behind the scenes. Large organizations are formed to appear to help black communities superficially while instead continuing to suppress them where it actually counts. These are funded by partners of the same people who divide & profit from Africa.

I've worked & studied with many people from all over the world & simply do not see the difference in the people themselves that give rise to what we see on the surface.
