- lost 3lbs in the past 2 days. Able to wear pants at a smaller waist size now. Going to lose this weight no matter what.

- ate a delicious breakfast which gave me some energy. Eating clean is better than eating junk and ordering carry out so very often.

- slept very good last night and now I'm fully awake, ready to take on the day.

Well I'm in Brazoria county so:

I'm grateful my wife and kids evacuated yesterday after school before traffic and the weather got bad.

I'm grateful to her sister for letting them stay so she didn't get gouged on a hotel IF she could even get one.

I'm grateful the gym was still open. I might go storm crazy over the next couple of days and it was good to get out while I can. Plus it was pretty much empty.

Stay safe fellow Texas brahs.
Come and take it.

- started meditating again. Starting to feel like I used to a year ago; optimistic and positive. My mind is as clear as it's ever been. I feel grounded and hopeful about the path I have decided to walk down from a year ago, even though I strayed off it for a while. But, I'm back on track.

- been about a week since finishing my suboxone taper. Feeling good. No cravings. Just restless leg syndrome as far as physical side effects go. Can't believe I actually stuck through the process of getting off opiates and now I'm here 2 months later, clean. Good vibes!

- gym day

I'm grateful for...

[ul]
  • the most excellent push session that occurred this morning.

  • Netflix for wasting time when I wake up and can't go back to sleep at night.

  • Ozark being such a great show. Only four episodes in, but I'm loving it. It kind of fills that void that Breaking Bad left.

  • caffeine for carrying me through mornings when I don't sleep well.

  • my wife getting some side gigs photographing some people. I've been telling her to quit and start doing her own thing for months, she's finally thinking she can do it.

    - moved my sister into her new dorm room (a single) and she seems much happier than last year when she had an obnoxious roommate

    - finally found parking for cheaper than $200/mo at school, so I can keep my vehicle with me

    - gonna take a spontaneous week long trip to Pictured Rocks and the upper peninsula, with my drone and some other cameras. will be nice to relax and just be away from people.
