The result was that I put on a lot of size and somehow, hardly any weight. I gained noticeable strength in a short period of time and significant gains on my arms. After the refeed my waist jumped 0.5”, and stayed there since I bulked, and at the end, it only went up another .3”.

I’m very satisfied - I’m on my fourth day of my next psmf cycle and plan to stop it permanently after I’m done. Back to regular cutting. I get weird chest issues despite proper supplementation so I dont think its worth the risk.
Dude I got that same thing. I wonder where the chest issues are coming from?

Day 3 feeling dizzy and a bit weak. I'm writing this down to having 0 sugars, especially processed. Mentally still strong, if this is the worst I can do it until the end of June. Hopefully the mental clarity and freshness kick in during the next few days. Let's get that money baby(big boi)

You can clearly tell the days when I weigh in earlier or a couple of hours later. Testing out different foods too, baked chicken breast is getting old so tried soups etc. Mood is amazing, a bit hungry but thinking is much clearer and a lot more energy compared to day 3-5.

Quick question for the more experienced brahs, I will most likely be coming out of the PSMF on the 26 or 27rd, was planning on doing a glycogen refeed of sub 1k carbs on the 26th and 27 onwards slowly introducing starchy carbs like potatoes, rice or pasta starting at 50 grams and adding 50 extra per day until I hit about 200g so 4 days. Is it sufficient enough time to get the body used to carbs again without exploding diarrhea all over the walls?

Pretty impressive with 15ish pounds in 10 days. Noticing any good visual changes? Muscle loss? You think much of it was from reduced water retention? Will rep again on spread for following through though.

24 June - 233lbs

Definitely visual changes, like for a lot of people the second week is where things start to ramp up. I reckon the first 3-7 days was water and now it's more fat. Muscle loss is a bit tricky since I can't see how people can assess it in such a short time. Lifts are still the same just feeling a bit more woozy. Stomach is shrinking like crazy(I carry most of my fat in the upper body).

Dreaming about food every day but it's all mental at the end of the day. If you promise yourself something you should follow through as not having that donut or ice cream or pasta with meatballs is a 20 second decision, disappointing yourself for not following through with what you set out to do is a misery that lasts for years.

I've been going HAM at the buffet every single day for 5 weeks putting on the lbs. I've done psmf twice now. Once for 6 weeks and one two week cat 1 cycle. I'm cat 2 right now. I have 10 days between work contracts so I'm gonna do 10 days of psmf once I finish this contract on Wednesday. Here's to hoping it's as easy as the first two times!!

Question about free meals and refeeds.

I’m a cat 2 and in the book Lyle says to have 1 free meal and 1 refeed/week.

Today was my second day, my mate made some brownies, so I used it as my free meal and had some PB on top. Thinking all together my net cals came out to around 1200-1400.

I’m planning on going to the local sushi place on the 6th day to have a bunch of veggie sushi/some spicy tuna rolls.

I read on this thread you shouldn’t have a free meal or refeed for the first 1 1/2 weeks and I’m feeling guilty about that brownie now since it may have compromised the fat loss, even though Lyle never said to wait that long in the book. Any thoughts?

You're totally fine. Most people say that to beginners who may eat that free meal and binge afterwards. It's not a big deal. You aren't compromising fat loss. Trust the book before you trust the thread!

Running this starting tomorrow for 13 days. Aiming to lose 9lbs but out for a birthday on Wednesday will update this post with all progress.

140 is the goal before I start bulking again. Quite low I know but been stuck at 150 for what feels like an eternity so gonna end this once and for all.

Really want to try this? What do you guys suggest?

Haven't worked out in a month or so but I am planning to start going to the gym starting next week. Have a wedding to attend in the 1st week of October so want to lose before that as much as I can until than.

Go on a -500 or -600 caloric deficit now and in the last 2-3 weeks do PSMF. Definitely don't do it for 2 months straight imo.

Although this plan makes a lot more sense, the problem with it is that I'll be starting a new job in September so don't want to seem out of focus while starting out.

Back at it again 3/14 days done. I'll be doing the entire 14 days this time. I did 10 days and than had 10 days at maintenance while at work. It seems each time I do this when I hit 190# I look leaner and bigger than the previous cut. 190# at 6'2 is still pretty tiny but I'm slowly working on it. I will be bulking for 7 weeks after this round which will be fun.

Does anyone else feel insanely strong the week following the carb up? It was timed with my AMRAP sets for 5/3/1 and I was blowing through rep PRs. This makes me want to try the UD2.0. Maybe if I hit 12% and have some time between work shifts.

Let’s grt shredded brahs

Day one: it’s 8pm, tried some protein pancakes, tastes good but think I put too much egg whites, well try with less tomorrow. that’s pretty much all I had today and I’m not even hungry. Bought some tofu noodles (which I highly recommend btw) we’ll try those tomorrow too. Buying some protein for a protein fluff right now. Overall, day one was too easy but the could be cause I had 2 subways last night lol

Day two: Hunger isn't too bad. Walked into the mall and started smelling all the food in the food court, hnngggg, stayed strong though. that carb refeed is gonna be awesome. think I'm starting to have some mental side effects though. Was walking down the street and tripped, landed bad and strained my shoulder, nothing too bad though, but got to be careful. also starting to have butter fingers.

Day 3: Yesterday night had stomach aches, but went away. Was close to breaking my diet by eating a protein bar or something. Going to be honest, debating on breaking it now too. It's not too complicated/difficult but it does suck. I've been on a 1k calorie deficit for a minute and seen good progess, thinking i should just go back to that and have more choices with my food. Don't know.

Ended psmf. Is it too hard? It’s challenging but it’s doable. Only reason I ended it was because it doesn’t make sense for me to do it right now. I’m just trying to get shredded for Halloween and that’s 2+ months away, and account to the fact you have to eat at maintenance for 2+ weeks to get your metabolism back up, i would’ve looked similar 2 months from now. If your goal is short term it’s good but if it’s longer, just do normal cutting honestly. Will be back in October

What category are you?

I feel way differently about the long term vs short term goals. I find a couple short cuts much more manageable and makes it so you're not in a deficit for too long. It also makes it so you don't get too fat. Knowing that I'm always two weeks away from being 10% BF is great.
