Funniest thing about this entire event is now Iran is going to control the strait going forward, and will possess a nuke(s) in a couple of years.

Trump just made Obama look like a hero lol.

Now Iran is the fourth center of power.

At the end of this conflict I'd much rather have things back the way they were and Iran believing they can hold their own with the USA than to end this with the toll booth and Iran thinking they have the world by the balls. I think we have to get it back to they way it was before the war at a minimum, just my opinion.

The Moment the World Realized Iran Is a Global Power
https://escalationtrap.substack.com/p/the-moment-the-world-realized-iran

That leaves two broad paths.

The first is accommodation: accepting Iran’s emergence as a fourth center of world power. Under this path, Iran would consolidate its position atop a chokepoint that carries roughly one-quarter of global seaborne oil and nearly one-fifth of global LNG trade, converting geographic leverage into sustained economic and political power.

The second is escalation: attempting to wrest control of the Strait through sustained military operations. Given that only 3.5 to 5.5 million barrels per day can be rerouted through alternative pipelines—far short of total flows—any serious attempt to neutralize Iran’s leverage would require not just maritime operations, but physical control over the territory from which that leverage is exercised. That is not a limited intervention.

It is the opening phase of a much larger war.

This is the core of the Escalation Trap.

A new form of power has emerged. It cannot be easily neutralized. It cannot be easily accepted.

And as recognition spreads—as it did, quietly but unmistakably, this morning—the pressure to resolve that contradiction will only grow.

The world is adjusting to Iran’s rise faster than policymakers are prepared to respond.

That gap is where the next phase of this conflict will unfold.
Ol' 10D chess Donnie has two options:

1.) Accept defeat, and acknowledge Iran's control of the strait/nukes.

2.) Wrest the strait away with more than just sending two broken down carriers that you can't do laundry or take a shit on.

So, Trump has to send ground troops in, which the professor makes a good case for with troops building up little by little in the region.

He can't keep just bombing. Stockpiles are wayyyy to low. Too slow to make. And too expensive.

Trump's has already used the best of what the military has to offer, but failed. He's killed more Iranian civilians than military, and destroyed more civilian infrastructure than military assets.

3.) Trump is a retard, and will be impeached in a few months.

His plans totally backfired, and now Iran will become a fourth node of power backed by nukes, and there is nothing he can do about it.

If he would have just let high IQ Obama's JCPOA in place Iran wouldn't be on their way to nukes, and we wouldn't be on track to 4.2% inflation this year.

But us more learned people need to accept we have to live with very dull minded people who still support a child pred like Trump (which is undeniable).

And overall the world will be much more peaceful without US bases helping israel terrorize the middle east, we just have to hope trump and bibi's collective temper tantrum doesnt get too many people killed just because they are upset

Hopefully the dollar scam gets obliterated with the GCC looking for protection from somebody else, since Trump has lost, and US military might has been exposed.

Reason being, so the US has to confront it's insolvency and military spending.

No more GCC dollars being sucked into the equity markets.

The Strait is an international water way, it does not belong to Iran.

They are violation of international law.

Bruh, Trump has violated every International law in the books lol.

Stiz is right. The strait is Iran's now.

Who's gonna take it from them? NATO told Trump to go fuck off, and Trump doesn't have the power to take it back himself.

President Donald Trump's approval rating has dropped to a new low for his second of two non-consecutive terms in office, according to the latest NBC News Decision Desk Poll powered by SurveyMonkey.

Trump is reported to have a 37% overall approval rating and a 63% disapproval rating, which includes 50% who said they strongly disapprove, setting a new low for his current term. Two-thirds of respondents said they disapproved of the president's handling of both inflation and the war in Iran.

Venezuela was the only good thing since that president was an actual dictator who cheated his way to the presidency, and destroyed his country.

There was once a time where the welfare of the country was more important than political points. I do think he has a point on the opposition so publicly bad mouthing the war effort. Iran can probably look at it as if they can hold out to until the midterms and Trump loses he might be impeached or at least severely neutered.

Midterms will be awful for Repubs, and Donny is mostly to blame.

It’s an unpopular war. Of course Democrats are badmouthing it. Even prominent people in MAGAland are rightly shitting on this war.

Lots of Senate seats are flipping to favoring Dems. Ohio being one. Republicans are looking to bomb the state with PAC money to try to salvage it. Husted is making all the conservative moves. Blasting people in Ohio for being lazy, and telling them that inflation isn't Trump's fault, but is a problem of them being too poor.

Behind the scenes it isn't looking too good for the GOP. They're panicking. Trump just got done contradicting what the DoE said. Gas prices are fucked, and they will continue to be deep into 2027. Trump had to come out and say it is a lie to save the GOP's chances for the midterms. Too bad he has no evidence to back it up.

The UAE is in an absolute crisis right now, asking the Treasury to bail them out with currency swaps, because the markets are totally fucked going forward. Interesting thing is they may be forced into using the Chinese yuan of the US doesn't save them, which will be devastating for dollar supremacy.

Facts are there isn't noway for Trump to save gas prices going forward. Not a chance. He's too deep into this inflicted problem, with noway out. He's just going to make it worse.

No, its not. It is territorial waters

Territorial waters are a belt of coastal waters extending up to 12 nautical miles (
kilometers) from a nation’s coastline (baseline). Within this zone, the state exercises full sovereignty over the water, seabed, subsoil, and airspace, regulated under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

The problem with that is that Iran previously didn't dare try running the Strait as a tollbooth because they knew the US would come down on them with full fury. But since the US is doing exactly that anyway, but also failing to topple their government, they may as well assert their now-established authority in this matter.

They need the cash, the US is reiterating their long-held belief that might makes right in the most crude manner imaginable, so why wouldn't Iran grab a piece of the action? Thanks to Trump there's a decent chance that they will end up making a profit on this war. The final peice of the puzzle is inevitably building some nuclear weapons into the bargain, thus preventing this from happening again. Art of the Deal.

They are sending Vance again to negotiate in Pakistan. That should go well, just like last time.

Nobody takes the Vice-President seriously at all, and the fact Trump can't be bothered to attend speaks volumes towards how much he actually wants to stop the conflict.

I'd also suggest the SAVE act not being pushed through like the GOP wanted is a direct result of how people feel about the war and the current government.

Incorrect, its classified as an international waterway.

The Global Standard (UNCLOS): Most nations follow the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), which guarantees a right of transit passage. This means ships and aircraft have the right to move "continuously and expeditiously" through the strait, and coastal states cannot legally suspend this passage.

Look, I get it, youre desperate to try and give the ayatollahs every little crumb and claim it as major defeat against America...

I think that changes after iran is attacked.

If you want to call iran still controlling the strait a victory thats okay with me. Just dont call it international water, that is embarrassing

Trump behaves and makes decisions exactly as we'd expect someone who has never in his entire life had to consider or face consequences for his actions. That's great (srs) unless somehow against all reason, a person like that ends up making decisions effecting hundreds of millions of people who have no choice but to accept the consequences.

The Wall Street Journal reported that after the 2 airmen were shot down over Iran, Trump went into a rage for 3 hours and they had to remove him from the briefing room. The White House has not denied the. Report and if that's true, how the hell can we have a person like that running the united states and making decision that affects billions?

I dunno, other than making the useless observation that we get the government we deserve. From day one we were all watching the tantrums on social media and half of us were absolutely certain it was all part of some masterful display of strategy and leadership.

That saying irks me. What did anyone do to deserve their government?

Voted for and cheered for it, like you did?

You do indeed get the government you deserve, as the power is fully in the hands of the people to decide who runs the show. Just so happens that Americans are cucked, which is why we have a foreign globalist (jewish) cabal running the show.

80% of Americans are too dumb/cowardly to even admit the jewish influence in our lives hence we deserve everything that is coming to us.
