Good evening, folks.

Speaking of magazines, what would be a good third party magazine for my 92FS?

I have the 3 mags that came with my pistol. They hold up quite well, albeit the black finish on the mags scratch and wear easily. Especially the mag that I use for my PD ammo (Winchester SXZ).

I don't have a need for as many mags, so I should have gotten better quality ones (the gen 3 window magpuls for about the same price for 10 rather than the 18 hexmags), I knew I might feel that way after purchasing them, but whatever honestly I can always find some one sale again in the future. The hexmags were like 45% off. So that may have been a better deal for the price saved.

lol cheeky kent. Checked out the 30. That's not bad for a 45. with 2x10 round mags +1. Most are like 7 or 8. The p220 is just way out of price range. I can not do a grand+tax for a fire arm right now. I know what you want to say, but but what is your life worth. Well considering most of the popular handguns talked about are within the $500-$600 range I'm sure I can't go wrong in that range. Thanks though, that G30 will get looked at more.

You can look at the CZ p-01/p-06 (01 is a compact 9, 06 is a 40) idk how the p-06 is for reliabilty as i havent looked into it, but the p-01 is really highly regarded for reliabilty, its hammer fired with a decocker, and its about the same size as a glock 19 and imo looks alot prettier. Its a little hipster-ish, but there around 600 bucks. Here is a comparison cz p-01 vs g19

you don't have to buy M3s. I have all non windowed M2s and they function flawlessly. Too late now, but before I bought any mags I wanted some hexmags because I thought they looked cool and liked the follower color coding, but I was talked out of it. Point being, pmags are the gold standard of magazines and there's really no need to deviate from that unless you just have some extra $$$ to blow for ****s and gigs.

Any thoughts on the Sig p938? Thinking about getting my first concealed carry (and first gun for that matter). I was able to play with one of my friend's sigs and the concealability blew me away.


Not sure which one I like more though..


I like fast cars, nice watches, sharp knives, and good smells.

Sale was m2, then m3, and then windowed m3. No windowed m2 from what I remember off brownells.

I'll see how these hex mags go. I like how they look. I couldn't find gray magpul and I'm trying to go for a gray AR look.


All I need now is to get a grip, couldn't figure out which to get from magpul preferably because I want the gray.

No offense bro, but if you're buying a gun based off the possibility of slide bite then go ahead and see if they'll throw in a free box of tampons with your handgun purchase.

A. The likelihood of getting slide bite with a glock is no more than any other pistol.

B. The Gen4 interchangeable back straps can make the grip whatever you want it to be.

C. Actual slide bite isn't bad anyways. The thought of it is a lot worse than it really feels. I've done it once while practicing drawing from concealment. Knew what happened and was scared to look at my hand but it was really nothing.

There are places other than Brownells to buy mags. DSG Arms, Aim Surplus, SGAmmo, PalmettoStateArmory, Primary Arms, Joebob Outfitters and Midway USA all have PMags.

Although Gen 3 is "newer" than Gen 2, the differences between them for an AR-15 user are basically nil. If I remember right, there's a miniscule difference in the thickness of the baseplate. I don't believe that there are gray PMags. As far as rail covers, get your rail in first, and see how many slots you actually want to cover on it before you buy 50 rail covers.

I heard of this "slide bite" and seeing the distance between the back of the slide on the p320 and the Glock is what made me lean more toward the Sig. Honestly too I like the idea of having a bit more gun to handle than a shorter thinner one like the Glocks. ALTHOUGH I haven't shot enough to compare so this is based of minimal shooting and just an idea of what I may like. I have tried an AR15, 1911, .38 Det Special etc but not enough to really know my tastes. Thanks for the thoughts Farley.

lol cheeky kent. Checked out the 30. That's not bad for a 45. with 2x10 round mags +1. Most are like 7 or 8. The p220 is just way out of price range. I can not do a grand+tax for a fire arm right now. I know what you want to say, but but what is your life worth. Well considering most of the popular handguns talked about are within the $500-$600 range I'm sure I can't go wrong in that range. Thanks though, that G30 will get looked at more.
The lower bore axis reduces your time getting back on target for follow up shots. It's an advantage. I've experienced slide-bite 0 times, you're not going to have an issue with it unless you've got some absurd grip on your pistol. A normal handgun grip will not cause this to be an issue.

Although Gen 3 is "newer" than Gen 2, the differences between them for an AR-15 user are basically nil. If I remember right, there's a miniscule difference in the thickness of the baseplate. I don't believe that there are gray PMags. As far as rail covers, get your rail in first, and see how many slots you actually want to cover on it before you buy 50 rail covers.
Yeah I didn't look past a few those places. Some of those sites are no good for Chicago/the county. The difference between the 2 and 3 is the dust cover, the durability and strength along with reputation is why I was leaning towards pmags, but more mags also seemed too good. If things don't workout with these, which I'm thinking might happen (some failures will piss me off lol), then I'll get the pmags later. The price difference would be like an extra 50 dollars which I'm basically gambling with now.

And yeah I ordered 3 x 6 rail covers, I counted 7 on each side based off pics. I think I will put 15 of there really is 21 or buy one more rail cover later and get all 21 covered. Bought MBUS gen 2 sights off gander, hopefully they are real and no fake sht

Also, the hexmags are series 2, not series 1. Doesn't seem like theres a difference in them though. Color really appealed to me. I am thinking if I could have cancelled or returned my order, I'd order 6 hex and then 10 gen3 window pmags, the hex just to put on for looks lol while the window pmags for actual range time
