-At 16, I was working after school, weekends, and summers at the neighborhood plumbing shop. I bought my first Camaro with the proceeds.
-I saved like a fiend and bought my first house at 24 years old. Hardly a mansion, but to me, it was very expensive. Interest rate was 14%.
-Yeah, I provided for my family. Wife worked her skinny butt off raising me and the 4 kids. She was very underpaid.
NOW
- Why go to college to be unemployable? If you're smart enough to graduate college, shouldn't you be smart enough to pick a great career? My kids went into health care and law. They're doing alright.
- Million dollar homes? Really? So you can't afford the better neighborhoods, you blame me? Move to the poor part of town, then. No shame there. Hell, my current house is worth 350k and is in the established working class 'hood.
- "Both husband and wife work, still can't afford to have kids." Uh, but why not? Does your sperm cost too much? Are her eggs really expensive? Or is it that you want the 5.00 coffee and the BMW and screw spending money on kids?

Again, the only people whining about things are the people who want everything, but don't want to work for it.
